Meet rae Bleu

Independent singer-songwriter Rae Bleu pours every feeling and experience she’s had into her music. Live performances leave audiences with ‘emotional whiplash’, as she combines her electronic tracks with heartfelt piano ballads in a drag, burlesque, and performance art inspired way. Intertwining the sounds of 80’s synth and 2000’s dance pop with some industrial influences, Rae creates uniquely genre bending alternative pop; pulling inspiration from Lady Gaga and Nine Inch Nails, she has also been compared to the likes of David Bowie and Chappell Roan. Hailing from Central New York, Rae has over 3 years of performing under her belt. Being an outcast in a small town has presented challenges that have contributed to her evolution as an artist. Carving out a space for herself has been far from an easy process. The desire to inspire other ‘strange creatures’ has continuously been a driving force behind what Rae does. She is not afraid to be divisive. Not everyone will resonate, understand, or like her art. They just aren’t in the Rae Bleu world. But the portal is always open.
